Hold a snake in your hand (It should not be a real snake) and say: "I call upon Loki, god of mischief, pranks, evil and karma! I call upon Libra, Gardian of the scales, protector of karma!" Drop the snake. Hold up the item you wish to protect and say: "Please protect this with a curse! It shall give who ever touches it bad luck for (how long the curse will last) But the curse shall not effect me! SO MOTE IT BE!" Once you pick up the snake you seal the gateway for evil spirits to get in. Seal it as SOON as your done this ritual!
