In order to cast a spell you must be able to be patient: patients is a valuable thing in magick, if you do not have patients your magick will not work properly. The next thing is confidence: if you do not have confidence then your magick will not work, confidence is a viral part of casting spells. The final thing is persistence: Without persistence your spells will never work because you would give up on them. Some other ways to help you cast successful spells is to meditate: Meditation is used to clear and help your aura adjust, also moods will help you, if you are casting a spell of anger, use anger to power it.
