Hullo all.
I recently had a couple realizations after a very slim run in with my mortality. I have come to see the world very objectively and it's made me weary. So I've decided to go spend two years in a Catholic monastary, learning to re center myself and find my new path from there.
However, afterwords I intend to travel the world, to learn the cultures, myths, legends, and practices of different spiritual people's. Shamans, witch doctors, high priests, monks, occultists, arcanists, etc.
anyway I'm making this post to ask the more travelled and learned practitioners of any and all viable fields of magic to help me out by pointing me in the direction of people, tribes, spiritists I could talk to. Same with more research based academic students of magic.
If it's a matter of personal experience with such person(s) please send me a message if you're willing to aide me.
I'm going outside the Internet to where it all began, and once all is said and done I hope to come out a better practitioner, and person. With luck I'll be back in time to share my experiences :)
I feel it in my soul, the need to become more spiritual and in tune with the worlds variations of magical practice.
