I have some really good info about Mermaids and other Sea Creatures. Yes this is a really popular topic here and everyone wants to be one. If you would like to know some info, feel free to pm me.

Here is some info about some kind mermaids to work with about Water Magick:

Roane: The Gaelic word for "seal" is roane, although these beings are also called sea madiens.Traditional stories only speak of females, but perhaps those were the only ones to come ashore and be seen by humans. It is believed that these beings wear their sealskins to travel through the seas, but look like humans without the skins. The roane are said to be the most gentle of all sea beings and will not try for revenge against the seal hunters who kill their kin.

In the Scottish Highlands, the Orkneys, and Shetland Islands, the roane were known to come ashore, remove their sealskins, and dance in the moonlight on the northern shores. On occasion, a human fisherman would be brave enough to steal a skin, thus forcing the seal maiden to marry him. She would be a pleasent wife until she found her hidden sealskin. Then she would escape into the sea.

A few of the descendents of these seal maiden marriages are born with a horny growth between their fingers. The MacCoddrums of the Seals are a famous example.

Seal maidens are excellent to work with for music, dance, singing and gaining love.

Mermaids are known to move from the astral realm to the physical world as they wish. Watch out for any negative sea creatures. Also be polite to them. They are very wise and can teach you how to use Water Magick, Weather Magick, and Psychic powers.
