yes, this is not working, what is the connection between lie and death? and more 'oh my'? 13 days? just for these short things? 'even if you lie'? you now realize about it, just simply analyze the spell.

would a picture work or mind's eye? kind of risky to be in their face no?

I forgot to add, the point is to make that statement directly to the person. To be heard. With eye contact. You want the person to hear it and dwell on it. It is meant to stick to the mind, to cause worry and paranoia (which lends them to making the curse real for themselves, doing your work for you)

As a general output of ill will, it could have some effect. Though the idea that a person will die, with any certainty or time-frame, is woefully exaggerated. Though if used with conviction and effort of will... and if that effort and malice is maintained by the caster for a long period, it could act to create bad luck or small misfortunes for someone.

Personally I'm a bit more cheeky than edgy, so I prefer to go with ''May you step barefoot onto a lego''.

Might not necessarily work, but it lightens my mood to imagine it befalling someone who has irked me.
