Hi everyone, just wanted to post that I use to work with Inanna, her energy felt so powerful when I felt her presence when I'd just spend some time calling on her to kind of just spend time with her. But everything changed when she asked me to devote myself to her, this was something I would never do and she wanted me to submit to her. I did research into sumerian practices and this idea of submitting to the gods was pretty common in that culture. But I wouldn't do it, and then her energy changed like she'd keep asking without using words, eventually I had to just banish her and stop working with her. She had wanted to me to sort of like "baptize" myself to her, though she didn't use that specific word but how she explained it , it sounds like baptism. I wrote an invocation to her, something simply in the language I use for spell casting. Prior to all this, when I'd call on her I'd get visions of lions and multi pointed stars which I'd look up online after the visons and found out they were some things of hers. But yeah, has anyone ever started working with a spirit/God than found they aren't really "the one" for you? I hope that makes sense. Thank you

How did She tell you that She wanted you to devote yourself to Her? How did you determine what She meant by devotion? - So I wrote a sort of poem calling out to her and stuff, "... Venus oh morning and evening star bringer of Life and Light, I rebuild your ministry within me and project it as your temple Inanna..."
From research I found she likes that type of stuff, I would say the poem as a sort of "let's spend time together" as that's how you "make friends" with spirits , you spend time with them. I would say the poem when I wanted to spend time with her as in it I ask her to be present, etc. I would do this when I'm working out as I wanted to convey the idea of exercising strengthens me physically and that she strengthens me spiritually, as from my research she tends to like if people who want to work with her incorporate her into their lives in some way. I even wrote a spell in the language I cast spells in as a sort of "baptism" like a dedication for myself as this was something I had already planned to do. So in one of my sessions I told her my plan of this and she seem pleased as her energy turned very bright feeling. When I'd call out to her I'd get visions of lions and eight pointed stars so I researched this and found these are things that are "her" things so I took it as a sign that I made contact successfully. However, later on on my next session with her I told her I was planning to do the dedication as I wasn't able to last time due to mundane stuff I had to take care of so I told her this time I'd carved out some time to perform it. She told me she had been thinking it over and decided she wanted more of me, she wanted me to submit to her and according to research this was a common thing with Summerian Gods but I had already told her before when I started working with her about my boundaries, and the things I had experienced from christianity how I am not comfortable with submitting myself. When I first made contact with her I was in my bed after doing things as offerings asking if she would like to work with me and if so send me a sign in my dreams, and on a certain night I had dream that right now I don't remember cause this was like three years ago but I woke up in the night and just felt like she heard me and accepted my request so I called out to her (in my bed still) and I felt this powerful uplifting energy like a flame and I received a vision of her and a lion, an eight pointed star and it just felt like our time working together had begun. Following this I would eventually call on her for assistance in rituals, said my poem as an offering and things seemed to go really well for my first summerian God. But after she had told me to submit to her, it triggered my experiences and I really didn't like those thoughts, I asked if she was causing this to make it stop and nothing happened, eventually I performed a banishment ritual, the "Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram" so now we haven't worked together and I just didn't know what to do, so I stopped working with her, But yeah, I hope that answers your questions.
