So as life goes on and times are destined to change, so to will our elders leave this physical realm one day. And already many have left us, and some of us are just the remaining few. Families are getting smaller as elders pass on.
So just something as a topic of discussion which I would so like to hear your views / opinions on, is Magickal Inheritance.
So when members or elders of the family who have passed on, who possessed Magickal abilities in different aspects, does this abilities get passed down generation to generation. Because when Magick exists within a kin or bloodlines, it rarely asks if you want it or not.
Is Magick said to be a sentimental family heirloom or is it an algorithm that should be carried out with precision. Is there certain or different steps that one should take to receive this abilities.
I have come to know and understand that when abilities are woven into a lineage and when it makes itself present, it is obligated to manifest.
There are some who yearn for this abilities, yet it never happens and then there are some who automatically receive this family Magickal Inheritance.
Sometimes it's passed on to every generation, sometimes it's skips a generation or two. Sometimes it passed to only the female and skips the men entirely and vice versa.
Is this a cakculated algorithm acting in its own logic which we fail to understand or did it stop with the elders who have once made a pact with higher powers, that the line ends with them.
Or are we missing the all important link that joins us with this sacred Inheritance that our Elders has left for us. Or are we at the end of the line where we must now create a new Magickal Inheritance for the generations to come.
Magickal abilities? Or magickal affinities? All people are born with the ability to use and harnest the energy that people call magick. Some people have different affinities for certain paths or practifces within magick. I don't personal believe in "magickal abilities" as it brings on the impression you're referring to television fluff regarding the ability to do something that can't be done in the physical world. We all have a/an affinity to certain paths within magick, whether it's tending to herbs, working with crystals, speaking to spirits, curses,..etc.
As for you're question about enheritance. Some familiespractice magick and have practiced it for generations, they pass down their practices either by verbal instructions and lessons or by writing out comprehensive book(s) regarding their research, beliefs, spells, rituals, ..etc. However, pass down "power" through death, I'm not entirely sure on. We work with spirits and barrow their energy to help with spells or rituals.
However, magick doesn't "skip" generations, it's energy within everyone and everything. Everyone has the ability to learn and harness this energy.
