Things Moving Around
By: / Novice

So, I'm a big proponent of "mundane before magic". But one of the things that I always stumble on is "Stuff moving around".

I'm on a social media app, and a lot of younger people will come on and ask why stuff is moving around their house/room, saying they put it down in one spot and then it was found in another. Sometimes, they say they asked their parents/siblings and they told them they didn't touch it, sometimes the person says it happened when they were home alone.

I have a hard time coming up withmundane reasons for this besides "You blacked out / lost memory of moving it due to lack of sleep, water, food, or perhaps an undiagnosed mental illness", and those are usually very easily dismissed by the person I'm talking to.

Are there any other mundane reasons for this, or am I being overly skeptical?

Pets if they have any. The wind if the items small enough and the draft is of sufficient strength.

I've found myself coming up short here with any other physical or logical reasons for this. You've listed a few logical explanations.

However there comes a time every now and then when there are no more logical explanations left. Perhaps you yourself may have experienced one of these.

Are you being too skeptical? Well why is that left for us to answer?

Do you think you are being too skeptical? Are you a believer in such phenomenon?

Whether or not you are being too skeptical is for you to decide or find out.

As to what I believe, well I don't find it necessary to make my beliefs known too well here on the forum.

They're my personal beliefs. They I prefer keep to myself for the most part. What other's think is not going to change the personal experiences I've had. They're my experiences.

As to your own skepticism? That's your decision.

There are a plethora of reasons or possibilities for the phenomenon of which you speak.

There are several ways people can view this. It really does depend on the situation & conditions for you to be overly skeptical... If it is windy, if there is loud music, and other factors to take into account. We do not know those factors and magic is not a force that can move objects. I have heard ghosts (if you believe in them) do such things. Other times, I just forget where I put an item. Are you being overly skeptical? Again, we do not know the factors. I cannot rightfully say.
