I've been experimenting with small jars made to shake to attract or repell, or activate intentions.
I've been calling them shaker jar spells.
I've finished a few and have more to add to, and I intend to buy some more small jars for this as well.
I'll give a few examples of spell intentions and ingredients here for anyone interested in trying something similar.
Protection Shaker Jar: Stinging Nettle, Small obsidian beads.
Love/Attraction Shaker Jar: Rose petal, small rose quartz beads, one or two small clear quartz beads for a punch, and or; one or two small milky quartz ( or howlite) beads for healing/ compassion.
Fetish Shaker Jar: Feathers, small ethically obtained bone, fur etc of animals sacred to a tradition.
These are simply some spell ideas I've had. I am merely sharing, hoping to aid others, and promote discussion.
Similar jar spells have been used for a long time in many folk traditions. I'd say if it didn't work, it wouldn't have remained so common!
One example I've heard of is a money jar. A person adds some noisy coins into a jar (I've heard about someone in a very desperate situation using one coin and a couple small pebbles), and shaking it regularly to attract income.
I've also heard of using them for baneful intention, using a representation of a target, adding hot spices, sharp and cutting things, and shaking the jar if the person's misdeeds come to mind to send some malice their way.
Prsna, Yes. I found out they are a practice commonly used within Hoodoo after looking to see if they were already a thing practiced somewhere.
I've had some successes with them. I've a few that are inclined to be very positive in nature which when shaken have helped improved my mood in general.
I've made a few similar prayer jars as well aimed for bringing intent into prayers for others, a small compassion jar, and abundance. They I've made to be held and the prayers then thought upon.
I also tried my hand at an anti-prosperity jar, now that we are speaking of throwing malice around. I've tried it, and a harassing neighbor quit bothering at me so much, though the intent is to create finance issues. Odd but I'll take it!
