Candle magic

So this may be a dumb question, it's been bugging me. Many many spells using candles require you to be casting until the candle burns out...naturally, that would take about 2 days even for a smaller candle.

Not necessarily. Tealight candles don't take two days to burn, nor do the taller colored birthday candles.

With a small tea-light for me to burn it takes 2-3 hours.

Your question is absolutely valid. How does one keep the casting or energy up?

Personally for me and everyone may not do things the same, what I do is I burn my candles for the length of time I focus my own intent and then I blow them out for future use.

As an example say I dress a candle for a sweetening spell. I spread a bit of sugar around the top of a white candle. I will then light this candle, let it burn with intent in my mind for let's say fifteen minutes. Then I'll blow it out.

Then next time I wish to try out a sweetening spell I will use that said same candle, light it again.

Where I direct my energy will more than likely change. I'll simply send my energy outwards toward a new intended target.

There may be some who will state this method the rinse and repeat method, won't work.

Yet I've had in my view success with this.

Others here will have different ways of doing these things which is what makes the practice of witchcraft so individual.

I love that aspect of it.

Your question is valid.
