Ivory significance

Is there any significance to ivory in folklore or is there a type of spiritual being that doesn't like ivory? I'm wondering because I have a friend who was doing past life work and apparently ivory had a lot of significance to the dream and they were trying to prevent something from reaching them

Ivory has been used by different cultures around the world for all sorts of reasons. Without knowing specifically which frame of reference, the meaning could be various things.

He was trying to prevent something from reaching him with ivory and protecting himself with ivory as a weapon
