Contact with a spirit

Hi, long story short I've been told that a spirit is following me at first it was a guardian spirit I was told but the person couldn't identify anything about it so I was hoping if anyone knows of a safe ways that I can contact the spirit cause I want to identify it and I don't even feel anything but the person says I am followed.
I just want to get to know the spirit better, who knows maybe we even become friends or something, he has been following me for a long time for some reason.

There aren't any foolproof ways I am aware of.

Part of undertaking spirit work is accepting the possibilty of risk.

As far as shielding for safety you could try envision a white light of protection surrounding you while asking the universe for protection and support.

Then you could try and meditate visually to communicate. Keep an open mind and ask the spirit to step forward. Envision this.

Wait and see what happens. If an image of a spiritual being does come forth ask it what it wants.

It is also entirely possible there is no spirit following you and that the individual whom told you this though may not have meant harm, may have been misinformed.

Hope this helped.

It might also be a good idea to acknowledge that a "following spirit"could be symbolic of several different things;including stress, anxiety, depression, or traumathat may be hard to shake off, or maybe the euphoria, satisfaction, peace, or securitythat lingers over time from a positive experience or relationship. Either way, it's healthy to explore all possibilities and not take everything too literally. Especially when someone else is that vague with you as well.
