Site Privacy (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new law in the European Union requiring websites which collect data to describe exactly what information they share with 3rd parties.

Although this law only applies when a website shows a webpage to a person in the EU, many websites take a blanket approach and now show a message asking for consent from you to share information with 3rd parties (usually advertisers). This law came into effect on May 25, 2018 and many of you will have noticed such popups appearing on many websites.

Spells Of Magic (SoM) does not share any data with advertisers or any other 3rd parties . We do use Google Adsense for ads and Google Anayltics for statistical gathering, however, in both cases we do not share any user specific data with Google. Any data Google uses (and may or may not share with their 3rd parties) is data which Google has gathered itself (via its own cookies or other methods). You can read about Google's privacy policies here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

As of the writing of this notice, Google will not display personalized ads to visitors in the EU, SoM does not intend on adding this functionality, at least not in the near future, and in the event that we do this notice will change and visitors will be presented with some sort of popup notice about it.

In summary, nothing has changed with the way SoM handles your personal information. This is simply a notice stating directly that we do not share your data with anyone.
