Chaos caused by Loki?

I am thinking about invoking Loki but my question is what are the examples of problems he causes. I would love to work with Loki but due to his trickster reputation I don't know what to do.

What's a little chaos between friends? Sometimes your life could use a little chaos as it can get maudlin. :)

I have to agree with Kitsune on this one. If you're going to invoke a deity, make sure you make an offering and feel a connection to him, as opposed to just thinking he's cool. If you do it because you think he's cool or would make a mean martini or something, it probably won't work, or he'll send a flat tire your way, or something. But if you feel a connection, honor him the way you would a close friend, and leave the occasional offering, I'm sure he'll do the same to you, barring the occasional good-natured prank.

A lot of UPG and people who have worked with Loki will tell you that Loki is a multi-faced deity with many sides to him. If you only view him as a trickster and a troublemaker, that is how he will present himself to you. Loki will use any means to get his foot in the door, so to speak. So if being "the trickster" is the only way you know him - he will act that way. But Loki is much more than just the trickster God in the Norse pantheon, and taking some time to get to know him before invoking/working with him is the first thing I would suggest to you.

In my personal opinion and UPG, Loki is moreso a God of Change and the Chaos that is associated with it. To us, some change is good and some change is bad. We don't like change that inconviences us or pushes us out of our element. But Loki is unbiased change and chaos. He is the force that keeps life from being stagnant. Because of this chaotic and changing nature, some people feel uncomfortable working with Loki because they feel pushed and challenged.

Loki is a trickster in a sense, but he also shines light on topics that may seem hidden. Being a trickster he's ready to challenge and change and cause chaos perhaps. Chaos is sometimes what's necessary though and aside from that, he's the only--I believe only--Norse god to have kept all his oaths. I strongly believe that honoring him will bring you a lot in terms of what you want, but I also believe that you should approach this with true respect and openness if you decide to ask for his true help.
From my experience with Loki he's more interested in your ability to truest and be open with him and then what comes of the encounter may be chaos, but I believe never more chaos than is handleable. Trust is big in calling daemons.

If you're drawn to Loki he must want to work with you.

Go a head give it a chance. He isn't all bad, he can actually be very helpful, and keep you on your toes for sure.
