Pentagams

So I was not even paying attention one day a question came up that confused me and just never made me think about it.

If I'm wearing two different kinds of Pentagam necklaces;
Do they actually cancel each other out?

One of them is just something ive always worn for protection
The other was a gift from someone I care dearly about(He was the one to ask me)

So could you help me figure this out please?
