Who's Ready for Samhain?

So, who's ready? I know I am.

I was wondering what you all plan to do this year? ^.^

I plan to hand out candy for the Halloween trick-or-treaters, then later in the night delve into my Samhain activities. I'm planning on baking barnbrack (also called barmbrack) and use my grandmother's old pendulum I use every year. I'm also going to peel an apple in front of a candlelit mirror, as its tradition. I'm so excited for this year.

Blessed Be.

Well, Halloween has nothing to do with Samhain. Samhain is the end of one year, and the beginning of the new. It is a time for "looking back" at the year that has gone. Thinking of the things you may have done right, and those you may have done wrong, Making a vow to try not making the same mistakes you may have made in the past year. It is also a time to remember. To remember the ones who have now "gone before"; either recently, or long ago; your ancestors.
I will wrap up warm against the cold night. Have a fire in my back garden.I will have hot soup,a bottle of whisky, and think back about my 82 years of life; and be thankful that I am still alive.

I know they don't really, but I'll be handing out candy so why not mention it? ^_^ I hope you enjoy your Samhain, Bry.

I plan on doing a simple renewal spell just to let go of some things. It's been a rough month so I need to release some negative emotions. But for Halloween I plan on going to some haunted houses and getting scared!

We are giving thanks for all of the gifts and amazing things that have happened this year. Then we are having a handfasting and celebration.

I'll be at work, helping little kids go through a 'spooky' path to get candy. Hopefully I get to hold and animal, or two!
