Hello! I have been practicing astral projection for about two months now and I was wondering if any of you think I have actually had an OBE.
So here is the thing, after about a month of trying to fall asleep on my back and at least reach the vibration state which would help me exit my body, I finally made a break through. It was the morning and I woke up on my stomach and but was aware while falling asleep. I started to feel my body become cold and this sort of blue energy thing descend on me. I decided to try exiting my body and only my torso left. I saw my mother sleeping beside me even though I never saw her enter the room. The room was very bright.I then woke up and saw my mom sleeping beside me but the room was dark instead of light. I think this may have been a dream.
I had another experience about a week after this where I exited my body and flew to a park beside my house. The sun was setting and I saw my family playing there. I woke up but it was the morning.
My third experience was just yesterday when I tried falling asleep on my back in the morning when my room was bright. I entered sleep paralysis but my room was dark and tried moving my right arm and hand but it was too heavy, like lead. I left my body after imagining myself running at high speed and my astral body fell onto the floor. I looked back and saw my body on the bed. All of a sudden a black bat figure grabbed my arms and took my high into the sky past pink and purple cloud levels. At first I felt scared but then I felt at ease and felt as if I was trying to be given some sort of message. I then woke up in the morning.
Sorry for the long post but I was wondering if had experienced astral projection at any of these points.I would like to add that I never had a silver cord or even saw anything like that come from my physical body to my astral body.
From my experiences, astral projection does give me an experience similar to yours. Especially when you know it is very vivid, they are just different from dreams, so they tend not to be. I would recommend the next time you try, to think about something very hard the whole time before you exit your body. If it's not a dream, you should still be thinking about the same thing; dreams tend to make you forget all that was happening a moment before you went to sleep. I hope this was helpful!
