I was on Etsy (it's kind of like Ebay, but I like it better) and I saw a product for order that was a "portable dark altar starter kit" or something like that. So I was wondering if someone who had some knowledge could educate me on just what a Dark Altr is, what it does, etc?

Dark as in bad. Most likely to be used in black magic spells.

Bad? I've always thought of magick as neutral. You mean like magick used for malevolent intentions?

Your best bet is to ask the Etsy seller. She'll know what it comes with it and what they apparently think makes it "dark".

It could also refer to heavily moon-/underworld-based magick. Not necessarily malevolent, but very "yin", for lack of a better word.
