Seeking information.

I'm trying to find some information on alchemy and it's practice. I'm hoping to find some of the older obscure writings of medieval alchemist because I'd like to have a better understanding into the practice and philosophy of it. So does anyone know any good books or other sources that would help out? I'd appreciate it a lot. Thank you in advanced

The Mirror of Alchemy by Roger Bacon (or somebody pretending to be Roger Bacon, because apparently you could get away with that in the 1500s) is a short and simple one, but it's not exactly obscure.
