I would recommend putting a small amount of lemon juice on them. Dip a cotton swab in the fresh juice and then gently rub it on the breakout. Leave it on for about 4 or 5 minutes and then wash it off. If you have sensitive skin, you may have to dilute the juice with a little bit of water so that it doesn't irritate your skin.
St. Ives also has a wonderful apricot scrub for blemishes and blackheads. I used it when I was a teenager (and still do for exfoliation purposes) and it worked wonders.
Hay buddy I had the same problem. First step any thing with a sent is not good for your skin. No fruits or sugars on the skin as well. Herbs arnt good for skin even tho people sware bye them. Just use warm or hot watter with table salt wash your face and body once a day. Use soap for arm pits and any outher pit. The problem with skin is it can get cloged very ez so using bio organic stuff is bad cuz it gets in deep as a small particle and blocks the push of dead skin and sweat createing a small infection and white cells apper. the reason I say salt is its ruff enuff to surub the pores open and free but salt is good for wounds and is ez to wash off completly as apposed to some thing rich with sugar. The rule is if it was alive once don't use it on your face cuz it will just rot in your pores and block em.
I agree with Lonicera. Also, if you use a slice or a half of a lemon, with five drops of honey on it, it also acts as a moisturiser. Washing afterwards with cold water will take care of any residual organic matter :)
You can always check with your dermatologist for their recommendations, and to see if you need prescription strength cleansers or products.
But lemon is a wonderful cleansing agent, as is salt. When washing your face, avoid using harsh soaps. Also, it's good to use warm water before and during your wash routine; this keeps your skin moist, opens your pores, and allows the most dirt removal. Follow up with any kind of warm water/wash usage with splashes of cold water to shrink down your pores. Weekly exfoliation for face and body will help to clear up acne, but make sure to follow up with a gentle moisturizer to replenish skin. You can go out and purchase these, or create your own with sugar and olive oil and/or green tea. Dry brushing your skin will also help to improve circulation and overall skin health; best done at least once a day with a soft bristled body brush.
Certain foods like eggs, yogurt, strawberries, cucumbers, etc. have great beneficial properties for maintaining skin health too. Check out tutorials on youtube from cosmetic specialists like Michelle Pham, and make sure to always test a small patch of skin before applying all over! This will make sure you avoid any topical allergic reactions.
Don't forget that maintaining a healthy diet and staying hydrated can also go a long way towards improving and maintaining good skin health as well :)
I use distilled Witch-hazel as a toner, then use a bee' wax based moisturizer with different essentially oils... its brilliant! I also recommend rose-water distilled or not- you CAN just soak some rose petals in water for a day or two, I also add some rose oil to it as well. For scaring I highly recommend rose-hip oil, it promotes new skin cells or something and is fantastic, just a couple of drops after a nice warm shower! also just common sense really make sure you wash your face everyday, drink HEAPS of water and avoid making contact with your face also, and pull back any hair too! good luck!
I use a wonderful face wash made by AlbaBotanics and it works wonders! The reason a soap of some sort is need is to strip the oils that aren't good for you from the face, but you don't want to have a completely dry face which is where honey comes in GREAT.
Tea-tree oil is something everyone should have in their houses..it's great for infections, discoloration of the skin and pimples. It reduces redness, heals faster and fades scars :).
I used hot water, a loofah, and a mixture of salt and lemon. I held m face under hot water to open up my pores, the washed lightly with lemon, then rinsed and scrubbed with sea salt and hot water. Also it helps if you find a bathroom when you get sweaty and to wash your face with clean hot water. it helps keep your pores from getting clogged by sweat and dirt.
