Mental Images

There are a number of spells out there that require the practitioner to picture the effect/being/ect for the spell to work, visualisation if you will. Now I'm having problems keeping a single visual image in my mind, any tips on how to prevent the mind from wandering?

On a side note, how well does one need to be able to visualise the effect? Do you need to have a perfect image in your mind or could a vague one do?

Visualization is easiest part of the basics for most people. Some are skipping this training because they know that they could handle it easily. On the later part of it,some people just can't maybe because they consider themselves as a non visual person.

Training your mind to imagine is the foundation of visualization.First relax yourself, take a deep breath and begin to visualize.

For most it's a matter of practice. See the image in your head, make it more complex, eventually seeing scenery in detail will be no problem.
