I've never been nitpicky about timing but I usually try to get at least the moon phase and day right. Well, I've lost something and would like to try a lost item spell, but have no idea what day would be good for that. Thoughts? Thanks in advance :)
You should do an energy spell called auratic search. There is no specific time of day or night, so you can use it any time, But there are some requirements so look for it and read the directions thoroughly. Try casting it on Wednesday. Wednesday is the day of Mercury, which rules communication and travel an daily issues. Mercury would be perfect for whispering to you where to look or judging your lost thing into view.
Speaking of Mercury, right now it's retrograde (it looks like it's going backward through the signs, like how a car on the freeway looks like it's drifting backward when you pass it at a higher speed). I mention this because when Mercury is retrograde it makes things go wrong, break, and otherwise be as inconvenient as possible. It well go direct (stop being retrograde) on August 8th, and if you haven't found your item by then it will probably become a whole lot easier at that point.
Thanks for the tip. I've lived without it for months so I can wait a couple more weeks. But the moon will be waning. Should I wait until the new moon or after it?
Good question! Unless you or your magic are particularly Lunar, I wouldn't worry about it. There really aren't any phases of the moon which are overly appropriate for a find-my-lost-stuff spell. Plus, all of the planets are being ruled by the Sun right now so unless you cast while Moon is in Cancer it's the Sun you should be more concerned about. You may wish to try calculating a magical hour for that day and casting at that specific time.
