Of course it works! Spell casting is an amazing thing. It's used in a variety of practices. :)

I would say, though, that it can be important to understand spellcasting and how a spell works before jumping into it.

Don't think too much about your spell after casting, because it then sends out energy controversial to the original spell's intent.

Spells are the use of magic, magic is the changing and shifting of energy in its most basic form.

A spell is a tool to direct magic or that energy in order to help the odds of what's desired to happen or manifest.

When you cast a spell make your intention is clear and the spell is accurately portraying your intention. Make sure the goal is realistic.
* If you cast a spell to turn into a fish, then it probably won't work. Why? Because even without a spell you aren't turning into a fish anytime soon.

Make sure you believe in what you're doing, and you have faith in your ability to successfully cast the spell.
* Without confidence then there's nothing directing the energy in which you're attempting to change or use.

Keep your focus! Do not forget or randomly decide to change your intention or goal halfway through the spell.
* For reasons similar to the last tip it just won't turn out right.

Be ready to deal with the consequences. Research the form of magic you're using because even spells are separated into smaller categories. You need to understand what you're doing and how it's going to work. Prepare yourself for what you think might come of it.
* An example would casting a simple circle for protection before proceeding with summoning or something alike.

Accept the reality of it. Your spell might or might not be successful and this does mean you might fail. Don't worry! You still learned something, and you were still able to gain experience whether it be fruitful or not.
* If you were really hoping to become a fish and you didn't, go back over the spell and attempt to figure out why it wasn't successful (though in that case what went wrong would be obvious).

Enjoy yourself and find the passion required for practice. Halfhearted practice is a quick way to not get anywhere. Use tools or materials if it will help (whatever works for you) just as long as you allow yourself to really feel or get into what you're doing.

If you've tried it 'twenty times' something is wrong not to mention one MUST be a practitioner to do this. If everyone simply ran around reading and then doing spells the world would be in chaos. Are you doing the proper studying ? Do you know what you need ? How to word a spell ? Not all spells are 'correct' ! Some of the most powerful magic is 'purposely' wrong so that only those who 'know' what they are doing can see the 'mistakes' and correct them.

Spell casting is like finding the right way to shed extraw weight. You need to belive in yourself and find the solution that works. So to say a spell thats works wonders for others may not work for you.

You should not cast spells, some can be dangorus, but instead pray to God. Jesus told us to ask in his name, and it would be given to us. spells can come at a high price.

Priestly, saying that a person shouldn't do magick because "some can be dangorus" is like warning people not to cook because knives are sharp and pans are hot.

Some operations (such as demonic summonings) are inherently dangerous, but for the most part magick, like everything else in the world, is really only dangerous if you act like an idiot while doing it.

If you put in decent, rational study and you avoid biting off more than you can chew, one will find magick considerably safer than other activities most Westerners engage in on a daily basis, such as riding in an automobile.
