Well, if I had not seen an animal do magick myself I would say so to. Please don't think of this as disrespectful, but many people have seen animals do magick and I am sure of it. And what "game" has animals that can do magick? I have never heard of such a game.

I never said animals couldn't do magic. At most I implied that you are gullible enough to believe that a cat can turn into a lion physically.

Or maybe you are simply gullible enough to be fooled into thinking that that is not possible?!

Animals, all animals, are magickal by nature. Does that mean they go about casting spells? In my experience, no, they do not. There magick is a different kind, a kind which frankly escapes most humans, including yours truly

And Thunor, calm yourself. No one is trying to insult you. All that Divinus_Ordo is trying to say is that it is highly, highly, highly to the 10th power that a house cat would physically, on this plane of existence, transform into a lion
I don't say impossible, because nothing is impossible, but this is highly, highly improbable

Have you thought to consider that from the standpoint of anything being "highly improbable" is true of everything that this site and magick in general deals with? All magick is improbable!

Certainly nothing is impossible. It's just so highly unlikely that chances are there is maybe one person in the entire world who can actually achieve it. Perhaps as many as five.

Yes, physical changes are possible. Highly highly unlikely, but still they can occur within the stretches of the mind. Just as within the stretches of the mind it is possible to kill a god and destroy a soul. Is it actually achieveable? Perhaps. Has it been achieved previously? Perhaps. Can 95% of the population do this? No.

I would say the same for cats turning into lions. But this all leaves me with questions for you: Why would a cat want to turn into a lion? Why does the practitioner have to be a Wiccan?

Not all magick is "highly improbable" in fact, some of it is quite the opposite! All I am saying is that some things are more probable than others, for example it is much more probable that a luck spell I cast will work than a rain spell. This is because magick is all about tipping the scales of life in favor of what you want to happen, happening. Its simply easier to tip them in a small, general way like a luck spell would then in a large, specific way like a rain spell would. This is also why physical transformations are so rare and difficult to achieve, because they require so much energy/will/experience to tip the scales that its almost impossible

As you point out Bry., it depends on how badly that you want it. So, if you are in an horrible drought that has lasted for let us say 6 months and days have been 80+ degrees, then you will probably want rain more than you will want luck (though you may cast the luck spell to improve your chances with the rain spell lol)!

Now, why would a cat wish to turn into a lion? Let's think about it, though they do have their faults ...lions: are stronger, larger, quicker, and better enduring than house cats. As far as why a lion and what lions have to do with Wicca [nry] , I will have to find out.

I think of it like this, theres a sack full of fifty thousand dollars, and theres a candy bar. In order to get to the candy bar, you need to life a 5 lb weight. So theres a very, very good chance that you'll get the candy. However, to get the fifty thousand dollars, you need to lift a 100 lb weight. Still very possible, but harder than lifting the 5 lb weight, so you have a less chance of being able to get the fifty thousand dollars as oppose to the candy bar.
