Will saying spells in Latin make them stronger, just just sound really interesting?

It actually depends on what you think.

If you think saying it in Latin will have a stronger effect, then your belief in such will cause it to be so.

It makes no difference what language you say it in, only what you believe and truly know to be true when doing it.

Alright, i was wondering because since latin is the world's oldest language , it might have a stronger effect because it to me seems like it would have more roots in magick, if tat makes sense

I can understand your reasoning behind it.

It's actually not the oldest language, that would be Sumerian or Egyptian. I don't think you'd have very much luck trying to write out and speak a spell in either one though lol

Again, the point is to do what you feel is right to do. It's your spell, your energy, your will. So what you think is what matters.

Words have power. Every word used has meaning. :)

If you actually look into English (the American kind is the better example of this) you'll find that it pulls from several different languages, including Latin and Romantic languages.

Since the beginning of time languages have influenced each other. Because of this each word spoken could say to be linked to 'old magick'. ;)

I'd also like to say that it doesn't matter what you say, as much as it matters what your intent is. You can chant nonsense all day and if your intent is clear then you'll get the result you wish for. However you could chant Latin all day, and if your intent isn't clear, your result will not be as desired.

Sorry if that post doesn't make any sense. I am about to pass out, so I'll check it for sense-making in the morning. Lol.

For spellmaking is the best language you can use your mothers tongue. It is the language that you most understand. But if you feel that saying spells in another language wi make them stronger, then do so. Practice and learn :)

When i was into ritual magick i would speak everything in hebrew to set the mood away from the ordinary.

Actually Hebrew is considered by many to be the first language.
And on a sand plate (Using a speaker under a plate with sand
on it) saying the hebrew alphabet actually forms the
letters in the sand.
