Protection Candle Spell

Can anyone help me with a candle spell for protecting my aunt on a trip to Europe? I was wondering if blue candles would be alright since its her favorite color. Is it best to perform the spell before she leaves?

Carve the candle with her initials and a protection sigil (learn how to do this if you don't know how already) then cast the circle, visualize what you want the spell to do, and then go ahead and cast it. When you are done dismiss and go on with your business. You can use a picture of your aunt to help you if you feel it's necessary.
