Reapers

I recently stubbled on a book that used the term "reapers of souls."

The reapers is just another idea or name for the personification of Death. The problem with real life facts is that you have to be dead to meet them/it, which makes getting first hand accounts rather difficult. In some cultures Death is seen as the actual cause of death, while in others he is merely a psychopomp(a guide to the afterlife). You could of course try and conatct the spirit of a deceased person and ask them about it, but I have never heard of any successful attempts to get information from the dead on this matter.
