What i learned

As I had stated before, I went on a quest. One of the things that I did was spent time alone with nothing in the forest. I had no tent, no food, no nothing. I also did this many times ranging from 3 days to 2 weeks. Please do not do this unless you know how to survive with nothing. I have had trining. I learned a lot by doing this though. I felt like I become apart of Mother Earth and what she really truly have to offer. As many of you may know, I base all my magick on on the elements. All people only belong to one element but I felt the power of all four and even the fifth of spirit. It was extreamly moving. I learned how to feel that power around me. How to use my element's power to become even stronger.
The hole point of this is, if your trying to find your power or your element leave your cell phone, laptop, anything other then maybe a knife and the cloths on your back. Spend one night alone with nothing (let someone know where your at and when you plan on comeing back just incase something does happen). If you have had trining then stay longer. The biggest part of magick is finding yourself and this will help. I personaly will be doing this at least once a year to make sure I dont lose who I am. If you like please place what you learned as a replay so others can find out more. Good luck everyone.

This sounds a lot like what the Native Americans call a vision quest.

i will just like to touch up on the statement saying most of us belong to one element, the correct terminology is an affinity which we actually have to two elements, but we can connect with all of them ( 8 elements) after that a time will come when we understand the elements allot more, transcending beyond their physical form and understand its true essence, that is called harmony. It is the time when the witch will experience an enchantment in their abilities and strength. You will learn that nature herself gives us every element and we must give thanks to the

earth
air
water
fire
dark
light
ether- either is an element which is closely in lined with spirit and has two physical representation, which is sound (a bell during cleansing is represented with ether) and space. The very sacred space in which we consecrate is made up of ether beside all other things.

spirit- spirit can refer to "soul energy" or even when termed "pure spirit" goes in the meaning of pure energy, being made of no other element but this is the base of every other element, spirit and ether must be close in line to maintain the balance for without spirit ether cannot exist, nor can any other element since ether is the space in which every other element exists.

I have once done this...not by choice though...i was 13 when my father and i went hunting for mushrooms lol...he took us to to a really big forest...my country's land is covered by forest all over i think about 70%...anyway, i strayed from my father because i was in the moment and there were lots of mushrooms to pick and i just kept following them until i lost track of where i am going...anyway before i knew it i was on the edge of the forest that i didn't recognize and there was nothing but fields of wheat and corn lol...so i went back trying to find my father but i couldn't and night was starting to fall...i spent a lot of time looking for the car but no success. So i had to stay in the woods and i did for a whole day almost until next evening...i ate the mushrooms that i found raw and i drank the juice from a beech tree's roots. I didn't get poisoned from the mushrooms because my dad taught me which ones are edible uncooked. I tried to make fire but i just couldn't do it lol...no one ever showed me how to do that. So i was just sitting there on the edge of the forest hoping someone would come by...while i was sitting there i had loads of time to think and i did...and when i had nothing more to think about i just laid there and listened to the sounds of nature...and when you do that for 5 hours straight it's easy to connect to everything...i felt like i was being embraced by mother earth...the wind that was blowing through the leaves were comforting me not to lose faith and the birds were just singing so beautifully that i just had to smile and close my eyes...that's when something amazing happened...i was thinking how comfortable it was home and how i had everything handed to me, how i slept on the soft bed and drank all kind of juices and ate all kinds of ice creams to keep myself cool in the summer day. I realized that everything we need has already been provided by mother nature and that we do not need technology to make our lives easier at all...the simpler you live the simpler the life is...at that time i had an epiphany and i have grown in mind so much...later that day i heard my dad screaming my name and ran towards him and he took me home. Everyone expected me to never go to the forest again but i still do and i still go amping by myself or with friends. And ever since it's like i already know things...i instinctively know what's edible and what's not and i know how to do thing even make a fire lol...It's easy to live with nature you just need to have the will and the wish

LoL. Brim next time I go to a forest I'll remember to bring matchsticks or a lighter. Lol
I've never exactly spent much in camping though I do love it. There was once when I was 9 or 10 when I went jungle trekking & camping with my school. The hills were extremely slippery plus there were leeches in the ponds we had to cross o.o, anyways during jungle trekking I was taking my own sweet time and it was only then I'd realised everyone was gone. I started screaming like a mad person thinking I'll die if i lived in that steep hill as landslides were common. It was only then I realized the forest was truly pretty. Too bad when I started realizing that, a classmate came to me. Lol, somehow that experience made me feel better about nature since I wasn't much of a nature lover back then.

Dark, I can kinda agree to what you are saying. yes we can only truely connect to one element but feel them all. But there are only 5 true elements and we can only connect to 4 of them. Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit are the 5 elements but we cannot fully connect to Spirit until we ourselfs become Spirits. The symbol that shows us this is the pentagram (5 pointed star in a circle). The top will always be spirit but based of of the person is really what the other points mean.

we can fullly connect to all elements even spirit we are energy beings our bodies is only a shell. when we raise our consciousness its easier, and yes dark and light are elements the elements of the pentagram are just 5 main elements but there are more. The chakras explain this as well
