Energy Flow Reversal Edgar Cayce

This thread idea came about while considering several different things within my mind. I was toying with multiple ideas, bouncing them back and forth, but each idea was linked to the other. The main thing that I was thinking about was the ebb and flow of energy in our universe and how we view it and believe that we have come to understand it. The second subject dancing in my head was the date of December 21, 2012 (Mods, this is not a thread about that particular date, I plan on simply using it as a reference and as a time to guess when my main point will take place).
You see, the thing about The Energy of The Universe is that it is ever changing and evolving. We will never be able to grasp and comprehend the entirety of the Universe, because it is forever growing and is energy that is simultaneously Dark and Light. This energy that is the Universe is not destroyed when we send it out (this can be illustrated by Karma, the energy isn’t destroyed, but eventually comes back on the individual) nor is the energy destroyed in our death (examples are spirits, “Heaven”, “Hell”) but is recycled in some way, shape, or form back into the Universe. This is a process that will go on until the end of time, only to start back up once again.
It is because of the perpetual state of energy that I am led to my next point. The word perpetual means everlasting or eternal, just because it is this way though does not mean that the flow of energy in the Universe also stays the same rhythm eternally. Look at it this way, it all comes down to us being able to understand the Universe in totality but just when we think we have understanding, something in the Universe changes either by something getting destroyed, created, or simply displaced within it. We are not meant to understand the Universe as a whole, so to keep us from being able too it must reset certain aspects of itself from time to time. Just as our planets landscape, air, and atmosphere have changed over our existence, so has the flow of energy.
A good civilization to point out here is the Mayans. The reason I choose them is because of their ability to understand, predict, and accept their fate as the fate that the Universe had planned for them. Among multiple predictions, the Mayans also predicted their downfall which shows their ability to not only understand the world of the tangible, but also the intangible world of faith. Granted, the Mayans cannot represent the complete reversal of energy that I am speaking of because they were simply one civilization in one area. The energy of the Mayan’s was not reversed, simply displaced to come back around when needed most. It is during our current time that this displaced energy has came back around and allowed us the understanding that we have.
The Universe truly does run in cycles. The Universe was created, things have been destroyed within it (and the things destroyed often end up playing another role in the Universe somehow), and things have been displaced within the Universe. Since the Universe is still growing and shows no sign of quitting, since we can still witness the destruction in the Universe, and see some of the ways that energy is displaced, how is it supposed to reset itself so that we do not figure it out? You could say that it is going to reset by ceasing to grow, destroy, and displace anymore but if that was the case why would we receive a warning from the displaced energy of the Mayans in our time?
