How do you know its a demon?? because something "bad" happened? or you saw something "dark" out of the corner of your eye?
not all demons are harmful, and most dont go around looking for trouble.
You need to re-evaluate the situation and figure out what it is, cause most likely, its NOT a demon....take my advice on this one, I work with demons more than any other astral being.

You all tell me to pray but I cant because im agnostic. God is definitaly out there but I dont know how to define him. If I cant define him how do I pray?
Merrick, I can not define you because I do not know you and yet I'm talking to you now, am I not? Praying to god is just talking to god. It's called praying because it's done a bit differently; for example if you talk to me you won't bow down, close your eyes, or anything like that whereas when talking to him it's respectable to do so. What many people don't understand about Christianity is that being a Christian simply means you've accepted Jesus into your heart; you know he died for your sins, you know he went through hell on Earth for you, you know he was beaten and crucified so that you could enter heaven, you know and understand that he paid the ultimate price so that you may have a shot at being with the lord after you die. That is a Christian. Most people can't define God, but you don't have to define him to know that he is real and you can talk to him.
I have to say that I agree with Rag here. Just because you can not define something doesn't mean you can't talk to the higher entity. I may not be christian, but you don't have to be to pray to a higher power, even if that higher power doesn't have a name persay. Just listen to your heart and talk to the energies around you if you have too, and explain your plight and what you wish to have happen
