Covens

I don't believe there are any limits to how many members each coven may have, but I think that somepriest's and priestesses like to have a close-knitted group maybe so their coven is easier to maintain, or so it has a more 'family' like quality to it. I am not a priestess so I am only conjecturing.

Why can you not be in more than one coven?

You can if you have multiple accounts. On one account I do not know. Perhaps it is to prevent someone's account from getting cluttered or to prevent any issues from rising on one account.

There is a good reason for this. Some not all but some Covens like to keep it small like a close family. Not all covens are here to see if they can have the biggest coven though some are.

Everyone hit the nail on the head.

My coven is one of the ones not currently accepting applications. Our personal reasoning for it was that we had several new members, and we wanted to give those new members a chance to become close to the old members in order to maintain a familial atmosphere in the coven. It gets hard to do that when there are too many members to manage, and not enough "bonding time".

Some covens just like dealing with smaller numbers, so they have cut off amounts and keep a limited number of members. And some covens are complete opposites of that, having massive amounts of members. Each coven runs differently, partially in due to the Priest/ess and the members.
