So quick question, want to see what everyone's take is on Pendulums.
I have recently gotten a new one that I felt a lot of energy to and from. I ask it to show me Yes,No and maybe. And it does.
But someone recently told me that pendulums will not work right if get emotionally attached to them. That they will always say what you want them to say.
Is this true?
I mean I won't say I'm emotionally attached, but I do feel like it was meant for me to have.
Let me know what your opinion is on this, very curious to see what every one here thinks.
I don't think your emotions will interfere here. Feeling as if you were meant to have this particular pendulum could mean that it will work better than other pendulums for you, at least that's the way I would interpret that.
The way that emotions interfere isn't because you become attached to the pendulum, it is because you are attached to the question. Desired results can sometimes interfere with an answer.
A pendulum works from subtle movements, believed to be affected by the subconscious. Personal desires direct affect the subconscious.
I agree with prsona. Not just pendulums but other methods/practices like automatic writing, spirit boards, etc...can be influenced by one's desire. If you truly want something you are more likely to receive positive results and answers because you subconsciously will these tools to reveal such answers. The problem is in most cases if you are using a tool to try to divine an answer you probably have an answer you wish to receive deep down so it seems hard in my mind to separate your desire or wishes from your utilization of these tools. The best result would likely be if you were divining for someone else as you have no personal stake in the result or desire for a certain outcome. I used the spirit board as an example even though it's not exactly a divination tool as it is a tool you can control and subconsciously will toward a certain result/answer.
And you are right, if you are emotionally attached to a question, it gives you the result you want not necessarily the truth. Tested this and seen it is true.
