In my opinion it is better to go to a coven your drawn to, Look at all the covens go to their main pages and read about them when you find the one where you are drawn to then join. You also can talk to members of different covens, and a little tip when joining a coven make sure you read the page and know what they expect and fill out the requirements for joining the coven if they have any.
