it kind of works as a magnet attracting them [spirit, demon] to the board. it doesn't filter out 'good' or 'evil' though so you'll have to be careful and specify. since it attracts all manner of beings, you need to cast a circle and do all the proper precautions. when people don't is when you get the 'a demon is destroying my life' stories.
ive heard a lotof stigma about ouija boards and growing up one of my best friends had one, so every slumber party or birthday we all would play with it. So for years when i was a kid till i actually started studying we would all get the same spirit ,( now we were young) so after "winkle" would tell us something it seemed to happen. Whether it be a small fire or a fight amoungst parents, i played with this spirit and board till i was 14, and when my friend that owned it , and myself started studying the "occoult" the board was gone, disappeared, lost, i dont know? But since we were practicing i read you can make one on paper and use a glass, so we did and sure enough "winkle" was first to show and guid us yet again.. Ive since not played with one, made or wooden, it seems their not a toy...
correct they're not a toy, but it's marketed that way, rather upsetting. you can make one out of paper, but you should make it out of wood. making one yourself will help you charge it to your energy, and gives you 100% control.
no, when it's in the box it doesn't call to spirits. it uses you as a channel, you energy pools in the board and draws spirits to it since they feed off energy. i use a board once a year to talk with the spirit with me. every time it's the same thing. he uses me as a channel, he becomes a ball of energy [as do i] and whoever is working the planchette with me is completely drained.
i love the story especially because it really puts it in perspective and i grew up with it or him i dont know but the wood versus paperis true but both deffinately work .. i planned on shadow boxing a real one and havent found one i like or that feels dormant ...
