New and need help

Hey so I know quite a bit about casting and magick because I've been studying it for a couple years and I have finally decided it's time for me to attempt it. I was told by my grandmother that the women in our family have special powers and can be very strong if they use it right. I need some help getting started and could use some tips on that. My strongest elements have always been Water and Fire, sometimes Air.

I don't know what that is suppose to mean "The women in our family have special powers." maybe "girl-power" but there is no uniqueness in one families power. Magick is energy that we "awaken" to help us in our everyday life.

Everyone is special if you are thinking that way, we are all born from the Universe and therefore we are the children of the Universe. May the Universe be a god, goddess, or just nothing.

My tips for you is;

1) When using magick understand the basics of it, this will make it easier to use it.

2) Magick isn't just a group of people, it can be anyone and everyone if they believe in it, some people when they blow out their candles are casting their wish into the Universe to be acknowledged without knowing.

3) The elements can let you barrow their energy, but you can not cast them. (In case you didn't know)

4) Everyone can be strong in magick, just depends on their will and belief.

Also when you get more into spell casting, you may already know this, but in case you don't, spells will not work instantly, they will take their time, rushing spells, recasting spells, or anything like that, is not a good sign of patients, you will know when a spell works. Some spells although will not work, those spells are fake or are uninformative, which means they don't give a good explaination on what the spell is trying to acomplish.
