I need help/ a teacher

I've basically just started out and so far I really haven't done much. I made my staff denser, created maybe 2 or 3 psi balls (but they didn't seem like much), and I might have drawn energy from heat in my sandals (I'm not 100% sure on that one either). I really need help with learning just about anything (though obviously right now I'm focusing on energy work), I'm open to almost all magic except satanic (I have nothing against people who choose that path it's just not mine). Other than that I'd like to learn just about everything. Before I can learn that much though, I'm either going to need knowledge from many people separately or a teacher (or both, whichever I can manage). I hope there's someone out there who can help me (I actually already got a little help but it turned out it wasn't much).

Very few people on this site will teach, because it is only reading. I would recomment taking a look at the Starting Out forum and Basics Expanded, they will give you a good grasp of the basics. Once you have read through and practiced the basics such as: visualisation, grounding, centering and meditation, you can then think of practicing more complex practices, like energy manipulation, circle casting, etc.

Reading lots of books on topics you are interested in is very important too, getting a good grasp on lots of subjects can give you a good starting point for more advanced knowledge, but there are a few authors to steer clear of such as Silver Ravenwolf. Lots of authors take their knowledge from older sources, so it's a good idea to check out the original works for better knowledge.

It is so difficult trying to teach on-line. The problem is the word witchcraft, and the word magic! It needs a personal teacher. You have to really "see" magic to properly understand it.
I taught Pagan groups and Covens for many years before I became too old and too ill to attend the Moots.
I loved watching the faces of children (and adults!) when they saw magic for the first time.
How could I possibly teach Dowsing by writing about it? You have to actually see it to understand that it really is, MAGIC!

You know...there is something called a Webcam. Almost all laptop models have had it for a fair number of years. Interacting online need not be reading. You can interact face to face via channels like Skype or even record a video for the other party. I myself have viewed several online lectures at my educational institution.
Most would not do it for various personal or privaccy concerns but technology has come fairly far.

All videos can be faked; and many of them are!

I actually did not think of that. However, in every endeavour , there are usually risks. A real life teacher , if chosen poorly can be unskilled. This is merely an example of the risk of videos.

Very much agree with Brysing here, magic is such an inexplicable force that one must see it first to be able to understand it. It's almost like art, in fact its far more intricate than art! It takes its own force in conjunction with you and how you use it.

The magic of the teacher will be different to the magic of the student, because developing your ability to practice it will be unique only to you and your perception of what it is. It is however, as Brysing once explained to me once, that it is the art of transforming something from one form to another.

And we see this all the time in our daily lives, some of it can be explained by science, and other parts can't or the circumstances surrounding what one could term "a paranormal event" are deemed unexplainable. It is a fascinating thing none the less and though a teacher seems like an easy appealing idea, the greatest teacher however, is actually you!

Yes, science does sometimes have an answer. There is an electronic machine now called Geophysics, and it does Dowsing better and quicker than I can. But it doesn't do everything! It can find underground foundations of buildings, for instance. I cannot do that. But I can find any hidden metals better than Geophysics can.
And there is one particular difference. I know how Geophysics works. I have seen it, and I know how science does it; but the scientists don't know how I do it! As yet,my Dowsing remains "unexplained". I cannot explain it myself! I just know that it works. Many other things that were once unexplained "magic" are now understood by science; but not all of it! There are still some "magical mysteries".

Maybe if scientist thought about it differently. The human body is made of natural metals/elements. Those that are more in tune should be able to "feel" where those elements are in their surroundings. And yes, that would be better than any machine!
