Reincarnation?

I would appreciate it if someone explained this to me. I personally believe that death is the end of life, you die and that's just it. Life begins and ends inside the physical body. Not that we do not have a soul but the soul can function only inside the physical body.

There are several view on what exactly reincarnation is. I'd say that what most people who believe in reincarnation think it is, is where the body is NOT actually unable to function without a physical body. When the physical body dies, the soul goes somewhere else, and can find another body. And how this happens is another one of those things with many explanations. Some people will tell you that the act of reincarnation is when we CHOOSE to be born. Others say it happens because of things like karma.

I'm not so inclined to believe the modern notion of reincarnation exists, as whole people dying and returning, over and over again.

I'm an animist. I believe we are born out of this world. The components of us, physically and spiritually, only come from this world (seen and unseen alike). The person we are now? It ceases to exist, as I call it, the breath soul.

What does persist is the Wandering Soul, or Fetch. It is the fairy. It sinks deeper and deeper into the underworld, Elphame, and becomes an aspect of nature. There can be the occasional reincarnation, but I feel this is a rarity, not the norm.

Scientifically even it can be supported, considering that energy can neither be created nor destroyed. If we do have a soul (I believe we do of course) then it is a concept of energy and henceforth cannot be destroyed.

Hi there. There are so many beliefs regarding what happens after death (if anything does).

Ever since we cannot all agree, just stick to believing what you are comfortable with.

However, know that soul is energy, and energy does not disappear. Thus there may besomething happening to it.
I see these posibilities:
-If it really needs a form (physical body) to manifest itsef, then reincarnation may happen.
-If it may choose to take a form or not then it ascends, descends or reincarnates.
-If energy (soul) is consummed entirely during one's lifetime then there is nothing after death.

I like to believe the second, that it has a choice regarding its body (to keep a physical one or to stay in its pure energy form), but what we all individually believe is entirely up tp each one of us.

I am glad somebody openes this thread. I love to see what people think of this so controversed topic.

My apologies for the spelling mistakes. I am typing using my phone and it happens often to me to forget to check.

I grew up during WW2, and we were surrounded by death, every day!
At Catholic school we were taught that if we were good we went to heaven; if bad we went to hell. That was it!
When I asked my witch teacher about "after life", she told me.
That when we die, buried or cremated, we went to earth. We "fed" the plants. The plants fed animals, birds, insects. And so we live again! Not as other humans; but in a different form of Life. Because Life is a cycle. It never ends.Because a body is made of Matter; and Matter cannot be destroyed; only changed!
That is the best explanation I ever heard. And it is my belief.

I would agree there with your witch teacher brysing. That is probably the only possible form of the 'after life'. As for anything else mentioned in the comments, I doubt anything useful can happen considering the fact that human lucid dreaming / astral projection on earth is an impossibility.
