" Hiatus notice : I shall be away from this site for quite some time. I may be online once in a while, but cannot be as active as I used to, for I am building a future for myself and the ones I love. The past can no longer chain me. The present provides a variety of obstacles in order to grow. The future will be radiant."
Acknowledgement to Supporters
To the users on SoM who have sent me supportive and encouraging messages: thank you so much. Your kind words have strengthened my confidence, allowing me to continue to strive to achieve not only my aspirations, but to continue my goals in saving lives and healing the survivors. To the members of Rising Phoenix : thank you for being such an amazing family. It is certainly an honor to be able to serve as your high priestess. Every single one of you holds a special place in my heart. I pray that we all continue to grow in spirit, and for our family to continue to advance.
Another supportive coven I like to thank is the members of Raven's Gate. Each and every one of you mean so much to me. This is the coven of teaching, growth, and family. We are both seekers and beholder of knowledge. We have resurrected from the dead, and are now here to spread knowledge, for if knowledge is not pass, knowledge dies. It has been an honor to be able to serve as council. Many blessings to all, and thank you.
Declaration to Survivors
I decided to add a declaration to my bio. Many users on this site have come to me for advice on how to heal the broken soul. Some have been betrayed and abandoned. Others feel they are worthless and may never be love. I will tell every one of you this: you will be found. I too was betrayed and abandoned; felt worthless and thought love was too idealistic for me to achieve. I specifically chose a Phoenix to represent me for a reason. It doesn't just represent me, but to all of us: the survivors. Before you can love others, you must learn to love yourself. That is what is most important. There are many pernicious people that will try to tear your kingdom apart. There will be people who play your heart, breaking it apart in the end. There may be people who are manipulative, twisting stories and making it seem like it is your fault. They may even beat you down and bury you alive. Remember this: you have the power to say "This is not how my story ends". This is your life. Do not let the words and deeds of your foes define who you are. Remember that our scars are memories of where we've been. They do not dictate where we are going. Now rise from your ashes, and continue to burn the light from your hearts. Do not let the darkness consume you. To those who have been called ugly: you are beautiful. To those who have been called a disgrace: you are worthy. To those who have been abandoned: You are not alone. To those who have been betrayed: You will be loved. Any negative thing that has been said to you, I will say the opposite because what I say is true. Every single one of you must learn to take in the positivity in order to recover and better ourselves. So please, smile because you look your very best when you do.
My dear survivors, I ask that you try to do one thing: forgive. I confess that this was the hardest on my part. Once I learned to forgive all those who damaged me, the weight and burden on my heart have been lifted. Now, I am happy and free. To those who believe they cannot: you can. Nothing is impossible, for the word itself says "I'm possible" (Audrey Hepburn). I now leave you with a few of my favorite encouraging quotes:
"I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living." ~ Anas Nin
"In order to rise from its own ashes, a Phoenix first must burn." ~ Octavia E. Butler
"I walk in the darkness so that others may see the light." ~Unknown
"Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass." ~Anton Chekhov
"Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness." ~ Napoleon Hill
"In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take..." ~Lewis Carroll
"This above all: to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." ~from Shakespeare's play Hamlet
" Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway." ~ Earl Nightingale
Dry your eyes my dearest survivors. You will be found. I am willing to help. I will add more quotes when I see it best fits. I will keep you all in my prayers. Many blessings to all, and know that I love and care for you dearly. Blessed be.
Salutations. I am from what F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby refers to as the "Valley of Ashes". I always find joy in learning about magic. The concept of being able to bend willpower; to be able to control destiny and forge my own paths whether it may be for better or worse is captivating. At times, I do enjoy a lovely conversation though I prefer conversations with less hatred and more civility. I am an experienced tarot reader. I have done some candle magic and meditation using stones, but I wouldn't call myself an expert. The moon fascinates me. There is something luminous and vibrant about the moon that I am constantly drawn to. Late at night, when arriving home from either school, work, or research, I linger onto the streets, staring at the magnificent spark of light. No darkness could ever conquer something so beautiful. Under the moonlight, I can walk freely with the darkness, having absolutely no trepidation. The element I work with the most is earth. I rely on this element whenever I work with energy. Hence, I heed the calling of nature. She is both powerful and ethereal; my home and my safe haven. I would walk along Central Park; away from paving paths and onto unmarked roads just so I may be able to feel her graceful embrace. My solitary soul seeks for it dearly. Because of this, I collect different gemstones, fossils, crystals, and minerals. I always try to incorporate these things into magic, readings, and meditation. The closer I am to nature, the stronger I feel.
What I am willing to do:
- Console you for any reason. We all need someone to listen, expressing painful emotions and sympathies. I am willing to be your little light at the end of the abyss.
- Debate. I enjoy a philosophical debate. Please have a topic in mind, and make sure you are capable of civility.
- Provide guidance and/or advisory: it may be about magic or other things such as the sciences and the arts/literature; both which I deeply adore.
What I am UNWILLING to do:
- Cast a spell for you. Unless I find the situation to be severe, I refuse to do such things.
- Tarot readings. I will no longer do this as my schedule became busier.
- Listen to or believe in your delusions. I am first a scientist. Unless you can provide evidence or back up your claims, I will tell you if something is incorrect and have facts to back up my statements. I will not be rude about it since this will provide an opportunity for a civil (ideally) debate. If no evidence you hold, do not bring forth such casuistry.
- Role play or hold any other inappropriate connotations. I cannot stress this enough. I am a teacher and a student; one with knowledge and one who seeks it. I only crave enlightenment. Please be courteous about such things.
- Waste my time. It's self explanatory.
I will NOT tolerate:
- Harassment of any form
- Threats of any kind
- Flirting. I have found my significant other. I adore him with such a passion, even my words cannot describe them. Please respect this.
- Fluff topics (unless you can prove me wrong with both scientific and religious research from accredited sources. So far, no one has been able to back up their preposterous claims).
- Disrespect. If I speak with civility, I expect the same from others.
**Failure to follow what is written above will result with a warning the first time. If one has audacity to bring forth such inanity a second time, you will either be block or reported depending on the severity of the situation.**
I have decided to add this section to my bio. The reason behind this is because many have asked what animal best represents me. In my opinion, this is a fantastic question. For I am also a writer; symbolism and imagery are some of the most important factors in my stories. What best describes me is not specifically an animal, but a mystical creature is the Phoenix. This goes back to the quote by Octavia E. Butler that I have mentioned above. A Phoenix dies; its flesh to ash and blood to dust, but life to be conquered by death? Nay. From its own ashes, a Phoenix rises. It displays its flames as it stretches its wings and claims the skies once again. Just like the resurrection of the Phoenix, I will always rise from any obstacles. I come from what The Great Gatsby refers to as the "Valley of Ashes". From the ashes of New York City rises a first-generation American with enough burning passion and motivation in her heart to continue her pursuit of her aspirations. Dr. Mark Reid once said, " Student, you do not study to pass the test. You study to prepare for the day when you are the only thing between a patient and the grave." Many times, when adversary happenstance to overpower me, I will break myself in order to revive and recreate myself to be stronger than before. With every challenge I face, I learn something new. With every fall I experience, I rise up and continue my journey. This is my resurrection.
~To those who are lost and broken, remember that you will be found. I have faith that you will all find resurrection from the ashes of the past, and be reborn into the light. Much love, and blessed be~
