Sit in a cold room. Focus on the cold, internalizing it within your body like a generator. Gather energy within yourself. Add that energy with the cold.

Opening a Magic Circle
Smooth an altar cloth out over a flat surface. If you are opening a white magic circle, trace the circle in a clockwise (or 'deosil') motion, then draw the pentagram within, starting from the north point. If you are opening a black magic circle, trace the circle in a counter-clockwise (or 'widdershins') motion, then draw the inverted pentagram within, starting from the south point.
Hold your power (writing) hand palm-open over the circle and direct your magical potential into it. Imagine the lines of the circle glowing in a color corresponding to its intent (white light for white magic, red light for black magic, etc.).
Closing a Magic Circle
Hold your power (writing) hand palm-open over the circle and command the flow of magical energy to cease. Imagine the light you visualized earlier snuffing out like a candle flame or a barely-still-burning charcoal.
Sprinkle sea salt in a clockwise rotation over the altar cloth with your power hand.Use your besom (or broom) to clean your altar cloth, thereby literally and metaphorically sweeping any leftover magic away.
This spell casts a protective ward over an object. It is best performed on a Sunday or a Tuesday. You may substitute a pencil/pen and a piece of paper if need be.

1. Lay your parchment paper out flat.
2. Light your incense.
3. Pass the object to be warded through the incense smoke, then place it on the parchment.
4. Using your dragon's blood ink and quill pen, draw a pentagram on the parchment below the object.
5. Strike a match and burn the parchment paper in a fire-proof container. Make sure it is completely reduced to ash. As it burns, recite the following incantation:
By the protective element of fire
Let this ward's vigil never expire
Let no harm now come to thee
As I will it, so mote it be

In perfect love and perfect trust,

Place the ring in the middle of the open doorway or window where you can see the moon. If cannot see it, imagine it strongly in your mind as you do this. Look up at the moon (if not seeing it, just close your eyes and imagine you are) and spreads your arms wide, as if embracing the night and the moons light). Chant:

Take off your shoes and socks and stomp and rub your feet in dirt. Then take 1 handful of the dirt you just stomped in and put t in the cauldron in a pile (if you have no cauldron, put the dirt in a pile over something fireproof).
Write your full name (first, middle last) and birth date (month, day, year) on the paper with the pen. The poke your ring finger hard enough to draw blood. Drop/place three drops of your blood on the paper. Then put it on the pile. Then place the ring on top of the paper. Lite the paper on fire, chanting:
''Skin to skin, blood to blood, bone to bone, sinew to sinew.
I banish all evil from my revenue.''
!* Say 3 to 10 times *!
After chanting look up at the sky and spread your arms wide, like your embracing the night, chanting:
''Great Wise Crone of the Waning Moon,
cloak your sacred shadows around around this ring and charge it with your banishing energies so that (When I or whomever) wear(s) it shall be protected from those
who seek to gain from (my or their) pain!''

Wait for the fire to extinguish (if still going), then take the ring and put it on the ring finger you pricked.
Throw the ashes and dirt into running water or bury it at the roots of an old tree.

If you have the candle, light it. Close your eyes, and focus. Concentrate on your energy, and concentrate on the Goddess Athena. Once you feel that energy, open your eyes and speak aloud,
"May Athena's sheild be my protector, and her spear my defender. When the enemy marches against me, to her highness I shall call. And I will be delightful to know that the Goddess of war is by my side. For there is no general wiser, no soldier stonger."
You should feel warmth and protection. If not, then repeat as many times as needed.
This spell will keep you safe from others as long as you remain in the fog that you charged.

If you are walking in a foggy area or about to pass through a foggy area relax mind think of the scariest thing that you can think of. Next, wile you are in the fog outside visualise all the energy of fear you can muster up going into the fog as a black mist infusing the fog with the energy of nightmare while saying the following.
"By the power of nightmare intertwine my will into the fog. My darkest fears to be infused. So mote it be this fog will protect me, so shall it be!"

Make an offering to the Akasha, light a candle or incense, or meditate. Say:
''Oh, Akasha,
