I had a very strange dream last night. I was in the driveway of my old home practicing levitation. It looked and felt very much like I was on the moon; with every jump I'd slowly glide down, sometimes just barely hovering over the gravel.

I continued doing this for some time before looking down the road to a neighbor's house. I was startled to find that there was a group of maybe three nuns standing in the driveway watching me. I stopped floating as I had been and began to perform ballet poses, standing on pointe and doing several pirouettes. I guess this was my way of covering myself up.

The nuns kept staring. I stopped entirely, feeling the weight of gravity return to my body as I backed away to go to the back of my home. I glanced behind me once hidden by the big hedge next to my garden and saw the nuns begin to walk toward my house.

I hurried through the back door, hearing "witch","she's a witch" and other similar things in my head while doing so. I went to the kitchen, looking out the window to watch as they approached the front door. I knew it was shut and locked so I didn't worry too much, even as they stood on the doorstep. I crept into the dining room after a little while and hid in a corner by the door, which creaked open to reveal the silhouettes of the nuns gathered. They then began sing hymns, low and operatic.

I stayed in my corner to wait and see if they'd leave but they never did. They kept singing and never flinched until they finally grew silent. I heard someone say "let's play a game called How Far Can We See" and I heard something enter the house. Something began to peek around the corner, and I began to press myself firmly against the wall. I eventually saw that the thing entering the home was a remarkably large salamander (close to a komodo dragon) with a red body and black patterns.
I screamed shrilly and it opened its mouth, making a sound I can't remember. I lunged, though, tackling it and trying to strangle it. The nuns never moved, only watched, even as the salamander-creature began to morph into a man. I closed my eyes as I fought and then woke up.

Simply put I was very disoriented and disturbed when I woke. It took a very long time to believe I was in reality.

I was wondering if anybody had any ideas of symbolism or if anything struck anyone? I also recall the number 11 but not the context of it - I just know it was in the same dream.

Again, any input would be very welcome.
