If you wish to have a successful plant, and if you are shinto or looking into the religion, you may want to bless the plant by Inari Okami. If the plant bears fruit, grain, or any form of sustenance, Inari Okami's blessing will be fantastic for its health.

If you wish to do this, often times writing your own words to the mother are the best. To keep her energies near, I often use a Kitsune Statue and a few fresh grains of rice around the base of it. White candles anointed with Sake, cinnamon, or rain oil/ rain water (Feminine influences), will keep her energies and blessings around.

Of course, if you have never worked with Inari Okami, please be careful when approaching her. She is very calm and kind, normally, however I do know she does like to test those who say they follow her, she tests their knowledge and ability to withstand riddles. Because of this, If you are not a Shintoist, I do advise against calling upon her for your ritual purposes.
