It is the process of projecting the mind (and I believe) that part of our soul, tied to the body. By projection, I mean, our conscious self is projected to a different point from our physical body. Leaving behind your body and projecting your astral body (mind and soul) out of the body is just exactly the same kind of experience you have when you are in your body and you move from one room to another room...only in the case of astral projection, your mind and soul move out of the body and leave it behind.Your soul is tied to the body through a cord, called the astral cord. It is a long, silvery string that attaches your soul to the body through the navel. This string cannot be broken, you cannot "die" from a disconnection, is what I am saying. Your astral body can project your mind and soul an infinite distance from the body without any kind of disconnect.
