My apologies if this question is in the wrong place. I've browsed the forum for a space for such questions and this forum is closest to what I'm looking for.

My question is how does one send a message to another user?

At this time as a new member I have only been able to respond to messages already sent to me.

I am just starting to learn to navigate the site. I've looked to no avail to find where this is specified.

It's asked often, because there's not an option from your own profile to draft a message to another user. But here's the answer:

You need to go to the other user's profile, and click the 'mail' link for their profile. This should open a window to enter a subject, and an additional (larger) block to compose the message.
