Is there a way to predict the future with a coin flip?

You can predict whether a certain outcome in the future is likely to happen or not. But no one can predict the future with absolute accuracy. And that is because the future is constantly changing depending on our actions and on many factors over which we have no control.. Choose to go left rather than going right and the possibilities in the future may well change to something else entirely.

What you could do with your method is to ask the question " If I do _whatever_, is it likely that _x_ will happen ?

After I do that then what?

Flipping a coin is a means of divination for yes-no questions, is basically what that post was saying. So you'd write a list of questions about the future in question, and then flip a coin to answer yes or no to each of them.

Another way to use a coin in divination is using it to generate i ching grids. There are some really good reasources online about how to do this.
