Atheist wanting to learn
By:
Hi I'm new here. Every since I been to Louisiana I had have a strang felling that something was calling to me or trying to get my attention. As a agnostic atheist I my thoughts have been like I don't really believe in gods. But I do believe in aliens and certain stuff(please don't judge me). I do believe in positive and negative energy. With a strong will something may happen. I may sound like a poser or a crazy/dumb person but I genuinely feel that something or have been drawing my attention to witchcraft and magic and not because I was in Louisiana, the place where you hear about the home place for voodoo and other magic stuff. That wasn't in my mind till I reached Baton Rouge all of a sudden. I may be a nerd who wish aliens, fantasy, and magic is real. I know better to know that reality will slap me in the face. I usually don't say this stuff because I know I be laughed at or be judged on. I also know when I need to stay out my imagination world and to stay in reality.

I'm really trying hard to explain what I'm wanting to say. It's hard to explain it over the web. But to make my point clear, I think some kind of magic may be real. Not like I'm fantasy and stuff like that. But will with the mind and energy from around you. I want to practice spells. I want to find out what is reaching out to me. I know it might be a long shot but I do think that learning spells can help you with your mind physical and mentally to give you positive energy to go another your day and life. I would love to buy genuine spellbook. Not some crap people try to sell you just to fool you.

Hello, Ambee89

I understand how you feel, I myself was just like this once, people laughed at me because I was a freak or nerdy but I don't think you sound like a poser or crazy/dumb person.
I try to stay as optimistic as I can for most things but reality is reality, I dont judge a book by its cover.

I think however that everything we dream becomes reality somewhere else.

Anyone that would dismiss such a feeling and judge you for it probably isn't a good source of information to begin with. Seeking knowledge is important in all manners. So I will humbly ask that you understand that this response is out of respect and courtesy, not just some jerk being a jerk. First, being an agnostic atheist isn't possible, but what you describe, with aliens, sounds like a deist, the idea that we are made from intelligent design that isn't necessarily divine in origin. Voodoo is about making deals with spirits, and witchcraft is about how our world has allowed us to live. I won't call you a poser, crazy, or dumb. I would like to encourage you to look deeper into your quest for the answers that you seek. Find what best suits your ideas so to expand your understanding. No matter what others say, they don't have the answers either. But that doesn't mean that you should stop searching.

Actual agnostic atheist is a think but people get into heated fights about it. An agnostic doesn't claim to know and an atheist doesn't believe. I'm both or rather jump between the two a lot. So to not cause any heated arguments let's just say and keep it that I'm a agnostic. I know for sure where I stand with that. I had a big and hard journey for me to get to where I'm at. I know myself really well but I know there is more to me I can learn. As for aliens I hope that yes they my be real, but I know not to keep my hopes up. I do think in theory that yes they are the gods or whatever you may call then that is connected to our history kinda. I don't want to do voodoo I was just using that as a example of what's Louisiana is known for. What I want to learn is simple white magic as of right know till I understand more about spells and other stuff.

an Atheist is a person who does not believe in any god or deity, and while most Atheists are materialistic, it is not a necessary thing for atheism, Lavenyan Satanism for example is an Atheistic religion that believes in magick, there are also other religions that allow for Atheism and Agnostic beliefs such as Jainism, Buddhism and even some branches of Hinduism, these religions do; however, believe in magic or some sort of energy (Ki - Chakra etc...) so it is normal to be an atheist and believe in magic.
do not feel discouraged by your difference, I am an Atheist myself and I have been using magick for 16 years naturally, I do find some spells; however, tricky, specially those where you need to commune with a god/goddess to perform.
