Dear truth, where did mr.hanson post about katanas?
Also, katanas don't suck, they're thin, long, strong and sharp, Jap Samurai would own British Knights because they don't have metal armour and they're too fast for those shining knights in armour..
Haven't you heard the stories about Merlin? Any at all? I too doubt Arthur and the round table existed but its a great example of equality, just like all those stories in the bible that have morales in them, only one flaw though, they all have "Jesus is great" in them.

Ya to bad china and japan weren't adept at horse combat that's why they'd get pwned by smaller counties like Mongolia. You can have the greatest gun in the world. Put it in the hands of a noob and it does no good. YES KATANA'S SUCK. and read my post again as to why i mentioned katana's. People act like katana's the greatest sword in the world. A lot simple because of the bent shape and it's thin blade. Go look up Sabers and falchions. And really if you want to have a japanese/oriental weapon fetish. Go look up a REAL weapon for a change... Like the sodegarami, sasumata Or nagamaki. Most weeboo's are too busy creaming them selves over samurai jack to notice THERE WAS OTHER WEAPONS IN JAPAN THEN JUST KATANAS!

Samurai's use katanas, and what made you think that we only know about katanas?
I mean, come on, all we know about beckham is he's just some chelsea soccer player. All I know about him is balls, soccer balls.. and soccer shoes.. and Victoria beckham..

You are terribly mislead about the Katana. One Katana can take about a month of incredibly hard labour to create properly. It's not that it involves heavy lifting or something, it's just the level of skill and the specific things needed to make a decent one is beyond smashing hot metal into a certain shape. The sword itself was, and still is, a masterpiece of death-dealing, and is balanced with precision, speed and how sharp it's blade is. british longswords enevr caught on in olden-days Japan, because they knew their sword was made differently and was much more efficient. All in all, the Katana actually is the greatest sword ever made, if you looked at the evidence as to why, you'd understand.

Right Japanese weapons for a new thread please and back to the subject of King Arthur (cause I like both but I wouldn't look here for info on weaponry and personal choices on them)

I was however reading a text in which regards to the possibility that King Arthur was infact created by the Celtics around the time of the Romans. Might like to check that out a bit if you like. Though quote me for nothing as I think I have just confused myself.

Snippets from : The Celtic and Scandanavian Relgions by J. A. MacCulloch

popular from the twelth centuries onwards, some may have been earlier Brythonic Deities and possibly a local called by the name Arthur. Also being a historic british hero Arthur, almost certainly King from Lower Scotland where some of his people moved to Wales carrying his stories with them.
