truth spell

So I cast a truth spell against someone...waiting to see if it worked. So far that person is acting a little different like they are holding something back. I do have a question though, has anyone had a truth spell backfire on them?

if a truth spell backfires im not sure if it has any sideaffects accept not working

I'm not really sure but the truth spell could make you speak the truth instead of the person you used it on.
