Prayer Baskets

Prayer baskets are used by some witches. They would take the person's help for assistance and write the request on a piece of paper and run it through incense and put it in the basket. Once a month the witch would go through the pieces of paper and burn the ones that were answered and re-empower those that didn't.

I've always read the burning of the paper to be a way to release the energy into the universe or bind it if one is trying to seal away certain thoughts.

I would probably put the notes in a basket with herbs whose energies go toward the goal of what is written on the paper, or in general furthering along a goal, to wich I would dedicate the basket specifically for that use.

This has nothing to do with requests but it's kind of the same, when I want a question answered I usually put the question on a piece of paper and then before I go to bed I say 'answer this question truthfully, hear my request, so mote it be'. Most of the time it works but try it out for yourself!

Well the idea of the prayer basket is for multiple prayers so you cant really focus on one as far as herbs for one specicif meaning but i did put sage an bay leaves in it
